On 26 April Sidekix organised an Art-Inn with works of art of people with mental and/or multiple disabilities. During this Art-Inn paintings and sculptures were for sale for a special anniversary price. The proceeds went entirely to a mini-holiday for the group of artists at Kunstfabriek Oss, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Sidekix is committed to this art form through its own CSR initiative Noble-Art.
ART THAT TOUCHES
Sidekix's Noble-Art Foundation has the pretension to consider the art of people with a disability at least as important as the art of renowned artists. Art that, precisely because of the lack of filters in the mind or the psyche, leads to the creation of something original, something that intrigues or moves because of its purity and authenticity. Works of art by these artists show this par excellence: uncomplicated, spontaneous, uninhibited and with an enormous power of expression.
In addition to this Art-Inn, works by the artists can be bought throughout the year on the Noble-Art website. The proceeds go in full back to the studio of the artist(s) where the day care is offered. The money can be used to buy new materials to make new creations.
