Coronavirus update

With the Bernhoven hospital nearby and a large number of employees from the Uden region, Covid-19 was serious to us from the start. In any case, the measures taken have meant that our production facilities and services are still "up and running". In the e-Fulfilment department, which takes care of the orders of web shops, we even see a considerable increase in activities here and there. This does not alter the fact that we are certainly suffering from the consequences of the coronavirus. The cancellation of the Eurovision Song Contest and the European Football Championship, for example, means that two nice fulfilment assignments have been postponed. That is just the way it is.

IMPACT ON YOUR MARKETING APPROACH

It is clear that corona has a huge impact on us all. But that does not mean that we should throw in the towel! The motto is still to look ahead, because even this corona crisis will not last forever. So what can we do? Anticipate it? Usually, that is a good idea. But in this case, with serious health issues, it does not seem wise and we should be careful.

What we can do, however, is think ahead now about how we can still achieve our goals. Because of the delusions of the day, there are always things left unfinished, which you really should take up. What can you do NOW to minimise the consequences of this crisis for your organisation? How about revising and rewriting the texts of your website? Update your mailing lists, improve the findability of your website, make a good content planning for your social media messages and adjust your Google ads. Also discuss with the agencies you work with what else you can do. They often have a lot of experience with other industries that you might be able to use. You have the time for it now.

TIPS FROM THE KITCHEN

Finally - and now we are speaking for ourselves - here are some tips that can help you in the short term:

  • People just sit and stare at the screen all day on their mobile or monitor. Send a personalised paper mailing. A good letter with, for example, an eye-catching gift will certainly make an impact in these times.
  • Even before the crisis, we saw a lack of resources in more and more places. Automation is necessary anyway to survive in the long run. A good time to start now with marketing automation. We have complete campaign management systems that will ultimately save you a lot of time.
  • Focus on e-commerce. With people increasingly tied to their homes, e-commerce is getting an enormous boost. Leave the daily logistical hassle to us and strengthen your focus on e-commerce.
