Beat Alzheimer's with sidekix

2021
Team Alzheimer's foundation and the Friends Lottery work together against Alzheimer's disease. Winners of a new winning campaign were surprised with a pair of Alzheimer Socks. These are socks that are not only fashionable, but also make Alzheimer's disease a subject of discussion. A great campaign with all profits going to Alzheimer's research.

In order to unburden the VriendenLoterij, Sidekix carried out the fulfilment part of this winners campaign. Sidekix made sure that winners could choose their prize through the selection shop and received a confirmation e-mail. We then wrapped the socks in silk paper and
and put a seal of the VriendenLoterij. Together with a double-sided information flyer printed by Sidekix, which we printed for free for this action, the socks were put in a custom-made letterbox box. This mailbox box was wrapped by Giftwrap 3000 with pre-printed giftpaper of the VriendenLoterij, which made each package look like a personal present.

About Team Alzheimer Foundation
The Team Alzheimer Foundation is a cooperation between the Alzheimer Centre Amsterdam and the business community. The goal of the Team Alzheimer Foundation is to raise as much money as possible to support research into all forms of dementia.

Beat Alzheimer: The effect of music
Beat Alzheimer' is the campaign slogan of Alzheimer Socks 2021. And not without reason, because research has shown that music has a positive effect on people with dementia. Music helps patients to recall memories and increase cognitive reserve. This sometimes even makes it possible to have more contact with an Alzheimer's patient. Further research into the effects of music on people with Alzheimer's disease is currently underway.

The positive effect of music on people with dementia has also been the inspiration for the design. For example, the socks of the winner campaign of the VriendenLoterij are enriched with patterns that have to do with music, such as a sound bar and musical instruments. Also, a pair of socks always consists of two socks with a different design. This symbolises the confusion that Alzheimer's patients have to deal with on a daily basis.
